This is not thick at all very watery fluid, will spread and drip and runoff if too much is applied, works extremely well, the lightest dip of the dauber into the dye will cover and vast amount of the shoes, 4oz bottle and i barely made a dent in it to dye my boots, it still looks like a full bottle, the pictures is immediately after the first coat with was very light coat, I may go and do a second heavier coat, def wear gloves and wear something you don’t mind putting at risk of getting stained and use in well ventilated area highly recommend this for dyeing shoes black

5+ Stars. This product is superior. I dyed some light silver leather shoes. It dyes in one coat and leaves a high polished finish. It's s deep rich black color. I also dyed the light colored rubber soles. This dye covered the rubber in one coat, too.Just take care, The little sponge applicator really absorbs a lot of dye. It's easy to get more dye than you want onto the sponge. No other applicator is needed. The one that is included works just fine. I didn't use rubber gloves, but it's probably a good idea.

I purchased a pair of steel toe boots for work, however the colors that they were available in was only a gingerbread brown color- a color I never wear. Since I love the style and comfort of the boot, I decided to stain them and they came out great! This picture was taken just a few seconds after the first coat was applied. It dried almost instantly and left the stitching a bit lighter, so there is still contrast, which looks awesome. 100% would recommend!

I used my Kelly’s on a brand new pair of cowboy boots that I only liked a lot because they only came in brown and I needed black, I just followed the instructions simple and easy now I love my boots
