Just buy it

Definitely a great pool, deep enough to float off the ground, the pump is easy to set up as well as the entire pool. The frame was tricking on the last connection but I got it after a couple tries. Great quality.

Great pool - Buy upgraded pump

GREAT POOL but I learned a few things the hard way so heed my warning!I bought this pool last summer. It was my first above-ground pool so I was inexperienced and I was impatient and put it up quickly. We put sand to level the low spots and installed the pool, which was super easy, and put the legs on cement pavers. Mistake! The sand shifted due to the weight of the water and caused some of the pavers to move a bit under the edge of the pool, causing a small pinhole, and the pool ended up a couple of inches unlevel anyway. I also saw all of the comments/reviews about upgrading the pump but didn't do that. The pump worked ok so I didn't bother, and again I was impatient and eager to get swimming. We patched the small pinhole and kept swimming until I took the pool down for winter. It takes about 30-45 minutes for my husband and I to put up and take down and we didn't want to mess with chemicals all winter or deal with winterizing (and I knew I needed a better ground leveling anyway).THIS YEAR I started early and paid someone to dig down (as little as necessary) to create a flat level circle where we wanted the pool. We put down a liner and installed the pool. We then used the cement pavers to put the legs on but dug them down so they were level with the ground. THIS IS WHAT I SHOULD HAVE DONE LAST YEAR AND I ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO DO THE SAME AND DON'T TAKE SHORTCUTS. I also noticed the pump that came with the pool isn't doing as well this year. It's weak and barely pulls things into the skimmer (purchased separately and also highly recommended). I purchased the upgraded pump. WOW - What a difference!!! I should have purchased it last year. It looks exactly the same as the pump that comes with the pool but is slightly larger but SO MUCH STRONGER! I can actually SEE the water moving around the entire pool and debris actually being 'sucked' into the skimmer.Recommended additional purchases:***Upgraded Pump: Intex Krystal Clear Cartridge Filter Pump for Above Ground Pools, 1000 GPH Pump Flow Rate, 110-120V with GFCI (uses same tubes, connections as pump that comes with pool)***Skimmer: Intex Deluxe Wall-Mounted Swimming Pool Surface Automatic Skimmer | 28000E***Vaccum: POOLWHALE Portable Pool Vacuum Jet Underwater Cleaner W/Brush,Bag,4 Section Pole of 48"(No Garden Hose Included),for Above Ground Pool,Spas,Ponds & Fountains***Extras needed: Skimmer socks, Chlorine Floater, 3" Chlorine Tablets, Pool Net, 7 in 1 pool water test strips.Notes for new pool owners: If you take a sample of your water to your local pool store, they will test it and tell you exactly what and how much of which chemicals you need to add. They will need to know that it's an above-ground pool and the size of it. You will learn to use the water testing strips to check every few days (once a week maybe) and when you see something off, you know it's time to take another sample to the pool place. And you also will start to learn what and how much you need to add on your own to maintain levels.Hope this helps other newbies like me!

A solid pool for your family.

I've had this up a few days and so far, it's really great. The kid loves it, it was quick to assemble - round about 20 minutes - and fairly intuitive. The material looks strong and held up to the dog flopping in and her claws. The pump that came with it doesn't seem to want to work period but I'll be contacting Intex about that if not upgrading it to one that can actually handle the water flow of the pool properly. I didn't need a permit which someone else here stated they needed because I was taking it down at the end of summer, so make sure to check with your varying municipalities if you are buying this. Some may demand a permit and a fence. My patio isn't perfectly level, seems to be off an inch, from one side of the pool to the other but that doesn't seem to be affecting it yet but will keep an eye on it. Make sure to get a ladder, and a cover for it at the minimum, as well as something to keep the water clean. It took about a good 3-4 hours to fill with my garden hose, I'l probably b wincing at my water bill but by far, hands down, this has been a good investment for my family and no regrets getting it. The deduction of one star is for the pump and depending on how Intex deals with it, will determine whether it gets a 4 still or up to a 5.**UPDATE** July 1st, 2016So we're in the middle of another season with this pool. I confess, I treated it badly after I took it down. Didn't bother to fold it, just took it, dumped water - I hooked a tiny hose up to the pool and got suction going and drained as much as I could before popping the drain open to let it drain out the last of it given where the pool was - and forgot about it. y son had decided to toss a few chlorine pucks in and bleached a section of the pool, there were a few small holes from hat I presume to be dog claws or just it not taking well to mistreatment while winter in Iowa set in. So come two weeks before memorial weekend, I got it out, turned it upside down on top of all my various garbage, recycling and leaf cans and sat under to get a good look for holes. I had some leftover vinyl from the patch kit, but the glue was horrible. So I just used some clear bathroom caulk and that solved the problem real well - Also, really good for the two spontaneous leaks I had between then and now. Plug the pool side, dry it off quick, smear with caulk, put on the patch, hold for thirty second and boom. Done.I did upgrade the pump to the 1,500 gallon pump because honestly, the pump that came with it just couldn't keep up with the needs of the pool. If you buy this pool, invest the 50 to 60 bucks more for the better pump and sell the one that came with this on craigslist or something. The hoses were bigger than the supplied ones but they make adaptors - much cheaper to buy those from intex directly! - and invested in valve stoppers too, to make changing/flushing the filters a lot easier. Also get the solar cover, but skip the plastic cover that "covers" the pool completely, the solar cover will do you well enough. All in all, I still love this pool. It still serves my son well and He's had a few parties in it this year. I would still give this 5/5 but I had to upgrade the pump and the accessories with it as well. Take care of this pool, and it's gonna do you for quite a while it would seem. Worthwhile investment. But still look into your city's restrictions to make sure whether you can put this up or not. In my city, so long as it didn't remain up all year round, you took it down in the fall, you didn't need a fence or any other restrictions. But call your city permit office to make sure!
