Bought this to add a 4-wire flat harness to my cargo trailer that has 7-way normal cable for the brakes, aux battery, and back-up lights. Recently on a long trip home, my P/U's dash kept chiming dash info on "trailer is connected" then "check wiring harness" (Chevy). This occured every few minutes for a few hundred miles! I tried everything to eliminate the problem...as it turn out, Chevy mounts the 7-way receptacle upside down so the cover spring gets weak and the connection becomes intermittent. (replaced with new one and mounted correctly).Needless to say, I installed the 4-way to connect if this issue happens again, or, a vehicle that doesn't have a 7-way will still have all the running lights.This product was great quality and ample length to reach my terminal box inside the nose of the trailer and adequate length to reach the tow vehicle receptacle.will order more for my boat and utility trailers.

I bought this as a replacement trailer harness for my 18-month old 5 x 10 utility trailer. The original trailer wiring was just individual wires inside short-sections of wiring loom in a couple of places and the ground and other wires started chafing or breaking. This is much better as the wires are inside a weatherproof & abrasion proof cable sheath and the trailer plug is overmolded and heavy-duty.

Product as advertised, reasonably priced, fit for intended use. Far better cable aesthetic than my original harness wiring purchased on the trailer; electrical tape with exposed yellow, green, brown, white..... But it worked sufficient to get me off the light and safety compliance until I saw this cleaner cable concept on other "factory trailers." Purchased multiple light upgrades for my utility trailer primarily for function, and second for aesthetics, so figured I'd replace the hitch harness too. Intricacies relative my design elements at play, so performed a complete overhaul of the trailer wiring. Completely satisfied with the upgrade this cable allows.Hindsight being 20/20, my only drawback is I think I should have upgraded to a 7prong cable to enable me to connect the reverse light kit.... Just didn't know.... Thank goodness for YouTube, just wish I had watched that install prior to this purchase. Learning on the fly.... Project for another day.....

It’s hard to imagine being excited about a trailer connector harness, but when the package arrived the contents exceeded my already high expectations (based on the existing reviews). It far exceeds the requirements of my little 25 year old tilt utility trailer, but I can imagine this harness will outlast the trailer... or me, whichever comes first.The wiring is heavy duty 14g copper, the sheathing is very thick and tough, and the plug is rigid and hefty, but still fits the vehicle socket easily. My only ask would be that a longer version be available as the 8ft (I didn’t measure but seems to be a “short 8ft”) was almost too short for my application.If you demand and appreciate the very best quality products, this harness is for you.

I liked the sturdy plug end and long cord. Fitting the cord to my trailer will be easy. The only thing I didn’t like was the stiffness of the casing as it could potentially crack or be difficult to use in below zero weather. I thought it was a bit pricey, however it was the best replacement I could find.

Très bonne qualité de câble et bonne grosseur par contre je croyais que le connecteur était moulé au câble (comme un cordon électrique) et ce n'est pas le cas. Mais c'est beaucoup mieux que le connecteur standard.

Nice heavy duty connector with molded in wire. Should last a lot longer then the cheap ones that are available at the parts store.

Just long enough to do the job. Thick wire, solid connector.
