Simple, minimalist look
This is one of those parts it took me a long time to decide to buy.I’ve always liked the idea of a simple, exposed filter look…but this just seemed to me like one of those parts that should cost like $20…- OK. So. I get it. Harley stuff (and custom stuff in general) is pricey. Everything that is all shiney and bolts on to an H-D is expensive. I’m very aware. I’ve spent WAY more money on WAY dumber stuff for my bikes than this cover.This, for whatever reason, was just one part that I could never really wrap my head around buying. Until I finally did.It’s actually a pretty heavy, solid built cover. I was sort of expecting a cheap, stamped tin kinda thing with some chrome…this cover is NOT just stamped, thin sheetmetal. So. Yay. It was a surprise.FYI. The air filter on a motorcycle is definitely not the ‘cleanest’ item in the world. So. Don’t be surprised if you get stuff on your pants when your leg inadvertently touches the exposed filter with this cover installed.

I recommend...
I have a 2012 HD Sportster XL1200C. This cover is everything I needed. It's good quality at a reasonable price. Actually it's pretty much the same price everywhere else except I get free shipping with Amazon. I think it looks great with my K&N air filter and help provide more air and we all know what that means. Plus I like the simple polished chrome look of it. Sometimes less is more. I recommend this item to anyone looking for the same.
