DickiesWater Resistant Diamond Quilted Nylon Jacket

I wanted a quality winter jacket that didn't cost an arm and a leg - can't go wrong at $28, some reviewers have bought it for less! (hopefully Amazon won't artificially raise the price on it like they do with a lot of other items...) I like this style and have a lot of respect for this brand. First off, the arms are LONG, about 27in on the Medium. For perspective, my arms from shoulder to wrist are about 24in. Judging by the images of the models it looks like smaller sizes may have shorter arms but I'm not sure. The arm length is by design since this IS a WORK jacket, the arms are supposed to be long. I have to fold the sleeves in a bit, which doesn't bother me. I'm a large female, 5'8, 40in hips. The back of the jacket covers almost half my bum (the front looks a little shorter), it cinches at the end, there's a waist band in the back. The M is snug on my hips without being too snug. I'm 41 in the chest - it's roomy up top but I'm not swimming in it. If I'd gotten a large I think I'd be swimming in it. A small probably would've been too snug for me. I wanted to layer this.It feels very warm, soft and comfortable on the inside - very nice lining. I've yet to wear it in freezing temps and will update when I do. I'm a bit disappointed that it's made in China... but overall, I'm happy with it. I know it can be tricky buying clothes online so anyone having serious doubts about sizing would be better off trying it on in store.I'll be checking out more Dickies coats in the future. Both Dickies and Carhartt are names you can trust for sturdy, well made clothing, at a good price. So, when I was looking for a good nylon quilted jacket for layering I found this one, which was a really good price. The nylon shell is water resistant and the lining is a soft, cotton type lining that makes it feel instantly warm and comfortable against your skin. The pockets are also half lined with this cotton type lining, aiding in keeping your hands warmer. The collar and wrist cuffs are ribbed elastic and very comfortable, as well as keep wind from seeping in. By itself it is warm in chilly days, and on cold days I use it to layer under my Carhartt Detroit jacket, making for a really warm combination. It looks well constructed and should last a good while. But, if and when I do need to replace it I will definitely buy another one. I’m very happy with this jacket.

Great style & quality. My husband typically has no opinions about clothing but raves over this jacket. Wore it all winter even though I thought it was more of a lightweight jacket. But it's warm and very versatile. Good quality. Looks nice on.

I bought this navy dickies jacket on Amazon bc I could not find it anywhere in stores and I am very happy with the quality and the fit. I bought it for work and it’s perfect

Seems to be well stitched. I'm 5' 11" 180lbs, bought the medium fits well not too loose but still room for sweater. I had been looking at the more expensive down sweaters , but couldn't bring myself to pay the price. I wear this inside a water resistant winter shell. I wear it inside out under the jacket , because I don't like getting hung up in my clothes , it has a smooth nylon outer shell. I didn't realize it had the cotton jersey inner lining. I'm not crazy about the cuffs or collar , but at this price and quality I won't complain. Not to suggest that they are overly tight , I would just rather have the open cuffs. Only comes in black, like everything else. It does look better on alone than I thought it would. I like this better than fleece for wind chill

Very warm and comfortable. Size is perfect. I love the pockets in the front, really comfortable and warm for my hands on a cold day.

Best light carry jacket I've bought in decades. Warm, light, inexpensive. Very attractive, functional and minimal. Does fit a tad short in length, but I prefer this as my EDC belt knive/pocket tool is accessable. Goodnsleeve length. Can be worn as a liner to a larger coat. Will be buying in another colorway and as a backup, incase the cut is changed next season. I got the medium size. I'm 5'8, beer belly and broad soulders.

I have two of these jackets, a solid black one and a camo one. For a not big and heavy jacket, they are very warm in the colder days in SC. What I really like about these is those two front pockets. Since I do a lot of nature photography, and can put my wallet & 1.4x tele-converter lens on the left and my phone in the right one with room to spare. The pockets are fairly deep and wide, so more stuff fits without undue bulging or looking weird. For the price, these are good jackets. The jackets are form fitting at the wrists, too, so cold air won't get in there.What I don't like this that stupid red "Dickies" tag sewn into the left pocket (I am not your walking billboard, argh!). Also, I wish the jacket was a little more form fitting at the waist. But you can't get everything for just $40. I can't speak to how these hold up long term as a just discovered them in December 2019.

My husband absolutely need this kind of vest especially to wear it during three seasons . I bought him for a christmas gift. Very expansive but its worth it. Was a little bit surprise when I received it, because he look more for winter season only, Seems very warm. We will see more after this winter. Very good quality materiel.
