Wonderful quirky thing, but DEFINITELY NOT A TOY!
I had seen this at New York Comic Con and didn't pick it up when I saw it, then regretted it because I couldn't find the booth selling it the next day. Jumped on Amazon and VOILA! There it was. The price was definitely better than what it would have been at NYCC too.The one thing I have to stress about this is, it's definitely not a toy. Whatever it's made out of could easily break if it's handled wrong. You don't want to put anything heavy in that plastic bowl because it WILL fall over. My boyfriend purchased the Freddy Kruger one and he's had it fall a few times if he overloads the bowl. The hands seem like they'd snap off if it fell just right too.Mine sits on a storage cabinet in the corner of my bedroom, holding candy, and he's held up very nicely. As long as you don't have little kids running around knocking it over or wanting to play with it, I think it'll do just fine. It's definitely a display quality item for year long use. Not just a Halloween novelty. Mine stays out all year. He's eerily adorable.

My husband's favorite Star Wars character is Darth Maul
My husband's favorite Star Wars character is Darth Maul, so I had to get this for him. He sits next to our television holding candy (and for added amusement, he also holds little mini "good guys" plushes as if he is serving those as well). As others have said, the bowl is extremely cheap and when we move next and have him replacing our keys, it will be replaced for something a bit more durable. However, the outstanding paint job and attention to detail surpasses the cheapness of the bowl enough for me to still give it five stars. It is not meant to be a toy, and is very lightweight. It could easily be damaged if one were roughhousing with it, but honestly, that's not what it was intended for and that would be the buyer's own fault. As a decoration that has the capability of also holding something, it definitely is excellent quality and will go over well with any Star Wars fan.

Awesome addition to my bar
A lot of people posting are hammering it because it's foam, it's one sided, and the bowl is cheap. It's only $39. This isn't some hundred dollar statue. I don't know what people are expecting. I will admit I didn't realize he was only one-sided. The pictures are elusive regarding that. however, considering he sits on my bar with his back to the wall, I don't care about that. If anything it keeps him flush on the wall and isn't taking up too much bar space. The bowl. Yes it's thin plastic. The reason is weight. If it had been heavier, you wouldn't be able to put anything in the bowl and not have him fall over. I keep him full of candy and he hasn't gone over yet. I don't heap the candy in the bowl either. The paint job is great, he looks cool. The design is awesome.Considering this is from Rubies, who I DO NOT like because of their absolutely terrible costumes they produce and still charge high rates for pure junk, for me to put 5 stars on this is saying something. Heck, I might just buy all of them!

Couple of small flaws in craftsmanship, but I love this guy!
This Stormtrooper Candy Bowl Holder is awesome! A friend praised the Boba Fett ( Star Wars Boba Fett Candy Holder ) one he got last year, so I looked into these and became leery from some of the negative reviews I saw posted. Toughing through those was difficult, but I eventually decided to bite the bullet and make the purchase.I love it! This little stormtrooper is sturdy and doesn't wobble. I have no fear that it will topple over even if the provided (cheap, cheap, cheap plastic) bowl is filled to the top with candy. As other reviews and the description mention, this candy bowl holder is only the front half of the stormtrooper. The back is hollow so the holder can go flat up against a wall, and there is room inside where you could put weights or otherwise anchor the holder if you think there is a chance it could get knocked over. The stormtrooper candy bowl holder is very obviously made with a foam material, which makes it fairly light weight. It won't do for holding really heavy objects, but it wasn't meant for really heavy objects. Still, the foam feels sturdy and durable. From a couple feet away, it looks great, but on closer inspection you can see foam texture, and there are tiny flecks of missing paint, which are particularly visible on the black parts of the stormtrooper. Fine details don't come through well with the foam either, so wen you take a close look, there are definitely flaws. I was disappointed in that, especially the missing paint. It's what knocked a star off of this review. I have included a couple of pictures showing some of these small flaws in craftsmanship.Despite those little problems, I have no doubt this product will be durable and will look great for years to come. First thing Monday he's going up on my desk at work!

It's Star Wars so it's awesome.
I didn't realize t was foam and the bowl was plastic. It's beautiful it really is. I mark it down for durability. The bowl is a thin flimsy insert like thing. It doesn't sit the way it looks in the picture. Maybe if you weigh it down with candy. Then the container itself is a thick by light weight foam type stuff. It sits up sturdy enough but the material is so light weight, Not ceramic or even a thick plastic. I'm not sure This thing will hold up to even on of our family moves. If it does I will go back and all a star next year.Appearance is great though. It looks like boba fett and has good detail. Paint does not appear cheap. It is so cute I really love Star Wars so I love this thing.PROSStar Wars candy bowl that works-enough saidPrice isn't bad at all- got for $20ConsIt's cheap materialNot likely durableWind might push over or can be knocked over.Bowl is very thin plasticBowl doesn't fit right

The Yoda candy bowl is great. It came well packaged
The Yoda candy bowl is great. It came well packaged. Yoda is big and and colorful. The bowl held a lot of candy and stayed in Yoda's hands. Yoda doesn't weigh much, but stays put when people take candy out of the bowl. If you put something heavy in the bowl, I think Yoda could tip over. The back is hollow, so you could easily weigh him down. I would definitely recommend this candy bowl to people.

Achtung Styropor. Ansonsten ein Eyecatcher.
Achtung Styropor. Ansonsten ein Eyecatcher. Zum anschauen und verschenken super. Nicht standfest mit Schale, da der Untergrund zu klein ist. Befestigung notwendig. Für einen StarWars Fan ein must have..
