Q: Is the belt attached? Can you wear without belt?

As others have said, there is a seam and the ribbon belt covers it perfectly. The dress is extremely comfortable. Lots of give and stretch.

Q: I'm 5'0 and wear 3" heels. Will it ruin the beautiful bottom to hem it?

No, not at all although I thought it would. I do wish it came in petite. I am 5’3” and weigh 135. I ordered the size 12 and returned it for a size 10. No alterations needed, but it needed to be hemmed 3”. I’m wearing 3” heels. It did not affect the design at all. You cannot even tell that it was hemmed. Actually, I hemmed it myself via a YouTube video. I have just okay skills with sewing machine. I took my time. It came out fantastic. The material is oh so forgiving to sew. Get this dress. You won’t be sorry. The kids want me to get a new sash. The material is very stretchy. It also is interwoven with a coppery gold threading which you can’t see in the photo. It’s very pretty. Why do they have to make these dresses so dang long . One out of 10 women is that tall, right?

Yes! It is VERY long! I'm 5'5" ordered a size 6, wore heels that were about 3 1/2" tall and still had to have it hemmed. I was worried about losing some of the beautiful design on the bottom of the dress, but it looked great.

A metallic (silver or gold) or nude heel is best paired with this gown.
