I thought this was a real plant
When I opened the package I wondered how it survived being shipped without any water or protection. I probably should have read the description before clicking the buy button, but it is the most realistic fake plant I've ever seen, so I kept it. Looks great in the aquarium, the leaves wave around like any real plant would, and it doesn't clog up the filter intake with dead leaves. I have lots of live plants in the tank but turned out to be a nice addition.

Beautiful
Funny story about these plants is, for some reason I thought they were real. But I’m actually very pleased with the purchase, they look very lifelike in the aquarium and filling a lot of empty space I have. I may actually buy another in the future for my bigger tank.

Not bad, but not the real thing...
I do not like artificial plants, but I keep mostly African cichlids, which require hard, alkaline water, so growing live plants in my tanks is a challenge. I've been experimenting with Vallisneria and Anubias for some time, with mixed results, so I thought I'd try this Fluval product, since in general they make high-quality stuff. The good- it's probably the most realistic artificial plant I've ever seen, way better than the typical plastic plants you see in local pet stores. The not-so-good- if you're picky, you'll never be fooled into thinking that this is a live plant. The main problem is that it is too brightly colored, especially under modern LED lights. I tried to minimize this problem by putting it into one of my dimly-lit display tanks, with 6500K and actinic LED's, towards the back of the tank, and in this context, it looks pretty good. But I'm still going to try some real Anubias in that tank, and my guess is they'll win, because in the end, ain't nothing like the real thing...Update, July 31, 2018. I originally gave this product only 3 stars, for the reasons outlined above, but after 6 weeks in my tank, I'm going to upgrade to 4 stars. The reason is that once a bit of algae grows on the leaves of this faux plant, it looks much more realistic than it didoriginally. There are Nerite snails in this tank, which keeps the algae under control on all the rockwork, but the snails don't seem to like the Fluval plant, which allows a bit of algae to grow on the leaves. So at present, it looks great.

Very large but realistic plant
I bought this for my 10 gallon tank because I can't take care of live plants for the life of me and I thought my guppies would enjoy having some plant decor to swim around and hide in. This is very large for a 10 gallon tank and takes up about a quarter of the space available in the tank but it looks very realistic and my African dwarf frogs love it!

Attractive Product
If you're interested in creating and showing a lovely environment for your fishes, and may prefer artificial rather than natural plantings, this Anubias bearing the Fluval branding is a solid choice.Attractive, easy to install, easy to clean, it really is a beautiful addition to our aquarium.

Plastic disintegrated, clogged filter
I have to say I'm surprised to write this about a Fluval-branded plant. The plastic slowly but surely disintegrated such that full leaves were gone at the time it was thrown out. There were hundreds of microplastic pieces floating around when I disturbed the filter. Not only is it disappointing because it didn't last long, but it also clogged up my filter and was probably poisoning the fish.

Bought for my betta
This plant is LARGE. It would fit great in a 10gal or if you have a taller tank, but since I bought it for my 5gal betta tank, I ended up having to cut away quite a few leaves off to make it shorter and less consuming of the tank. The "stem" also has "thorns" that are a bit bendy, but I still thought it might be too sharp for a male betta. Once I cut away a bit of the plant, it works well for my needs. I think the plant itself is beautiful, and the leaves are incredibly soft, but I probably wouldn't repurchase this for another betta tank.
