Frontier Co-op Cut and Sifted Orange Peel 1lb

I used these in mulling spices and they were great.

I reconstitute & add in a lot of things I cook. Very plrased with the flavor & texture. Highly recommend.

There are quite a few burnt pieces i had to pick out, so i think these have been oven dried. I used them to make candied peel. They rehydrated well, as with any mixed peel type product, the liquid was strained a few times, this helps remove the bitterness . I put the peel in bread and it worked fine.

Arrived well sealed with no odor leaking out. For visual sizing up, I included a couple of ‘off-hand’ measuring pictures as it was difficult for me to wrap my brain around just how much (volume) I was ordering for my project. The useful (FILLED) space of the package was just less than the overall measured height (@ ~6-inches) and overall width (about 8 1/2-inches). The k-cup was placed for visual estimation of how thickly the package is packed (~2-inch at it’s thickest).Overall pleased and will reorder when needed.

I was looking for a smaller size but couldn't find it so, since it was the holidays and I needed it for hot mulled wine on Christmas Eve, I ordered it. I'm glad Idid because it really made a lovely difference. It is simply too LARGE. I'm storing it in a Ball jar to keep it fresh, if possible.

I have been dabbling in making my own bitters and this is really aromatic and a flavorful citrus for that task. Mine did not seem entirely dry which made it hard to pulverize in the mortar and pestle, but an old coffee grinder has made short work of it. Will definitely buy it again.

Photo of the product and what was shipped bear little resemblance. Package contains 1/8" cubes.. not the slices shown in the photo. These will not work for chinese dishes. Of course there's no return possible.This is a DECEPTIVE LISTING! (see photo)
