Purchased for grandchild, great intro to textures

Nice glossy look and easy to use

This is a basic varnish. I used it on a sign I made from rough cut pine. Worked as expected. Wasn't to shiny either which is what I was going for.

I used this on my paper projects and it worked better than expected! Now my paper projects can stay strong and well protected :)

Excellent product and service

I paint with acrylic - I used to use oils until I realized how much easier acrylic were to use and clean up. Anyhow I had never protected one of my paintings before because I was scared to use this kind of thing. I bought this and decided to be brave and try it. It was a piece of cake. I painted a quick painting to sort of test this on it and it was excellent. I used a plain brush but I think moving forward I will use foam or some other way. On my test painting it was a little scary applying it because it's sort of opaque. But once you brush it, it clears up and disappears. It goes on very smoothly and dries very fast! This will give your painting a bit of a sheen to it - a little shiny. I then used this on another painting of a photograph I once took and this is where I say now I will use a foam brush or another way to apply it. While it went on fine, you can definitely see your brush strokes in it. I did straight horizontal strokes which were even and excellent but you can see it after the fact. I wasn't a fan of that but - it does look ok and protects it nicely. If anyone has an suggestions for how best to apply this to a painting please let me know!

This is great stuff. The light molding paste is the best so much easier to use than the hardbody paste. I did a 3 x 4‘ canvas using this mixed in with my paints, it did not weigh down the canvas as the hard body paste does. I prefer it in the tubes, but I would buy it anyway I could because this is good stuff.

Wish it was cheaper for the size you get here. Overall happy with the product.

Quite pleased it arrived on time, Liquitex is a good brand at reasonable rates. The size is 8.45oz and is a big squeeze type container with a flip top for easy handling. Im using the model paste for collage, to add texture from a stencil. Id reccommend it to any artist whom is on a budget.

I've never had a bad experience with Liquitex products. this stuff was thicker than I expected, about the same as paint.. it's loaded with "pigment" or iridescence and the iridescent flakes are a bit chunky (not clumpy though) so I wouldn't recommend for any kind of sprayer but the chunkiness makes for a real good sparkle.

Consistency is good, not as sheer as i would have liked.
