These are really high quality shorts, but they run quite small. I'm a big guy, and I generally wear XXL pants, 3XL if the garment is athletic and thus more snug. I first ordered 3XL, but they were too tight to even snap. I returned them (no issues), and ordered a 4X pair. They fit perfectly.Not only do they fit, but the material is really rugged, and the stitching is strong. The shorts stretch in all the right places. They are snug enough that they stay up under active use, and are giving enough that I can squat without fear of ripping. I'm really impressed.The only really miss is that while the outer shorts run pretty small, the bike-short lining is not as snug as it should be. It's not a huge issue, as when they are snapped in place in the shorts still offer the protection and padding they're supposed to have. I'm just not sure they would work well with another pair of shorts.I'm going to be getting another pair soon. I wish there were more colors, but it's not going to stop me.

I have a large phone and the front pockets fit the phone and seem to hold it pretty securely, but I feel the phone hitting my torso every time I pedal. It's not bad, but certainly not ideal. No other pockets would hold the phone. Felt kind of heavy compared to the other pair of shorts I bought.

I have been very impressed with these shorts... Good materials and comfortable liner, which is also easy to remove. I think its better quality then Zoic. However, the sizing is a bit off with these shorts. I normally wear Large in Zoic Ether and few others but because I read reviews I ordered medium. I am glad I did. I have 33 waist and these fit good. I am on the max end of the size for medium, but I think large would have been too big. My only 2 small gripes are pocket arrangement is not ideal, and I don't understand purpose of the Velcro straps on the ends of the shorts, maybe for folks with skinny legs ?? Overall I am impressed with this purchase. We will see if they hold up over time, but so far , about 10 rides, they have been great.

I liked these shorts so much I bought a second pair. They have great stretch which really is necessary for mountain bike riding. Because they are stretchy, they are not as loose as my older riding shorts so they do not get caught on the bike seat when back of the saddle downhill.As for pockets, they have 2 zippered pockets lower down for small things like money, or even you cell phone.Highly recommend them.

The rise on these shorts is very high. If I wore these around my hip there was an excessive amount of sag in the crotch. Not a desirable feature in shorts designed for biking as the extra material can get snagged on the point of the seat. Pulled up to eliminate the sag the waist was over my navel; not something I found to be comfortable. The waist fit was okay, I probably could have comfortably gotten a size smaller. This would not have helped much with the rise as it is less than 1/2" difference between sizes. I should note this is not my first pair of mtb shorts, and the rise is much higher compared to other simarly sized shorts.They seemed well made otherwise. Material appeared durable, but is rather thick; not the best thing in hot and humid places. Zippered pocket for securely holding small items like keys. The price is definitely attractive, especially given how expensive a lot of mtb shorts are, unfortunate these fit me so poorly. Maybe someone with a more athletic build that doesn't mind a high waist would find these a good purchase.
