Q: Could this part cause the Engine to stall when you come to a stop

hello. what is the vehicle make and model. also are there any other symptoms. are there any check engine codes coming on? if so what are the codes. i have seen these ignition control modules cause a few problems. hard starts. rough idle. motor can quit running after this part gets warm. after it cools off it will start again.

No, you would need one that is for a 1999 chevy S10 2.2 it appears Amazon doesn't carry the one fore yours, I would try RockAuto.

Q: Does it come with new mounting screws

Mine did but I wouldn't toss any old hardware....make sure you put on the conductive paste that should come with. The threads were generic so BigBox should have hardware in case they don't come with.
